Fishing Charters Tampa Bay, FL
Many individuals believe that fishing charters are exclusively for experienced anglers. One of the best aspects of Capt. John O’Hanlon’s fishing expeditions is that we can cater to a variety of fishermen and fisherwomen. Expert or not, a fishing charter is the perfect opportunity to learn about fishing for the first time or pick up new skills. Charters are ideal for small groups and families. They also make for a particularly memorable vacation experience.
What is a Fishing Charter?
When you choose a fishing charter, you are buying a packaged experience. Instead of paying piecemeal to rent a fishing boat and gear, we’ll provide you with everything you need and will take care of navigating the boat. The real advantage of choosing a fishing charter, though, is working with an experienced captain. Capt. John has worked in the industry for more than 30 years and has the know-how needed to ensure that you have the very best charter trip possible. He is fully licensed by the Coast Guard and has an excellent safety record.
How Do I Arrange a Fishing Expedition?
If you are interested in arranging a fishing expedition for the first time, research the type of fishing you’d like to do and when you’d like to head out on your expedition. The captain will be happy to talk with you about trip options and can tailor a trip designed to meet your unique needs. If you’ve never been on a chartered fishing trip before, be sure to ask us all of your questions before you book your trip.
When you fish with Captain John O’Hanlon Fishing Expeditions, cleaning and filleting services are included. This means that we’ll deal with gutting your fish so that you can cook them at home without any mess. If you are unsure of how to cook your fish, the captain will even be happy to offer recommendations. Many of our anglers prefer to fish catch and release. Please let us know your preference before your boat departs.
What to Bring Aboard the Boat
Aboard our boat, we’ll provide you with the bait and gear needed to fish. We recommend that you bring food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a long-sleeve shirt or light jacket depending on the weather. We have a cooler on board to store your drinks and food, but we suggest that you also keep a small cooler in your car. We will cut your fish and prepare filets for you, but we do not provide ice chests or dry ice for transport.
